Nighthawk Trio Combine for 33 Points in Win Over MVCA
The CCDS varsity girls basketball team got their third win of the season on Saturday as they faced off against MVCA. The trio of Alyssa Easter '26, Roxy Vollmer '27, and Nicole Hardesty '27 combined for 33 of the Nighthawks 40 points. CCDS outscored MVCA 12-3 in the fourth quarter to help get the 40-36 win over the Lions.
Hardesty led the team with 13 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals. This is her 6th game in a row scoring in double figures.
Easter led the team in assists (7) and steals (6). She added 10 points, going 4-6 from field goal range. Her 7 assists are the most by a Nighthawk since Elizabeth Zimmerman '24 in 2023 who had 10 in their 63-40 win over Williamsburg.
Vollmer had an impressive double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, the first of her career!
Gwen Ramage '28 led the team in rebounds with 17- the most by a Nighthawk since Sarah Zimmerman '22 in 2022 who had 17 rebounds in their 44-29 win over Summit Country Day.
