10 Winter Athletes Named to Cincinnati Enquirer All-City Teams
Congratulations to our winter athletes who have been named to the Cincinnati Enquirer All-City teams!
Boys Basketball:
Gianni Zeljo '27- first team: Gianni averaged 16.2 points per game, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 steals. He had a season high of 35 points and 11 rebounds, which is tied for the 3rd most single game points in program history. Gianni scored in double figures in 20 games with 3 double doubles.
Pace Guido '28- honorable mention: Pace averaged 15.6 points per game, 2.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.7 steals. He had a season high of 30 points where he went 3-5 from 3 point range. Pace scored in double figures in 16 games this season.
Levi Guttman '27- honorable mention: Levi averaged 9.2 points per game, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 0.9 steals. He had a season high of 17 points in a 50-47 win over St. Bernard Elmwood Place, going 7-9 from field goal range.
Girls Basketball:
Nicole Hardesty '27- second team: Nicole averaged 12.7 points per game, 5.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 2.5 steals. She had a season high of 24 points and 8 rebounds in a 52-50 win over Clark Montessori, who was 11-4 at the time. Her and Roxy Vollmer '27 combined for 47 of the teams 52 points. Nicole scored in double figures in 18 games this season.
Audrey de Alarcon '27- honorable mention: Audrey played in the last nine games, missing the first 15 due to an injury. In those nine games, she averaged 9.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.5 steals. She had a season high 18 points and 6 rebounds in a dominant win over East Clinton.
Roxy Vollmer '27- honorable mention: Roxy averaged 9.3 points per game, 7.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 2.1 steals. She had a career high 23 points and 13 boards in the teams win over Clark Montessori. Roxy scored in double figures in 10 games, four of those being double doubles.
Gymnastics:
Hayden Zimmerman '26- first team: Hayden had a historic season, finishing 7th in the all‑around at Districts with a score of 33.4500, the highest all‑around finish in school history and a top five score all‑time. She narrowly missed State qualification by .075, earning a spot as an alternate. At the City Championship, Hayden placed fourth on beam and in the all‑around, fifth on bars, and was named Most Dynamic Routines Award winner by the judges. She also finished 17th on vault (7.8500) and 13th on bars (7.8250) at the annual CD Cup.
Gabrielle Gonzalez '28- honorable mention: Gabrielle delivered a strong all‑around season, highlighted by leading the team at the CD Cup with a personal‑best 28.1500 in the all‑around. At that meet, she scored 7.3500 on vault, 5.8500 on bars, 6.7500 on beam, and 8.2000 on floor. She followed that performance with a solid showing at the City Championship, posting a 27.7750 all‑around score with event scores of 7.3000 on vault, 6.2000 on bars, 6.2750 on beam, and 8.0000 on floor, contributing consistently across all four events.
Swimming:
Delaney Gorman '26- second team: Delaney had an incredible senior season. At the Ohio Swim Classic, she placed third in the 200 backstroke (2:12.77) and fifth in both the 100 butterfly (1:00.20) and 200 butterfly (2:16.23). She followed that with a big showing at Sectionals, winning the 100 fly (1:00.42) and finishing second in the 100 back (1:02.38) to qualify for State. Entering the State Meet, Delaney was seeded 9th in the 100 fly and 16th in the 100 back, while also competing on the 400 free relay (seeded 17th). At State, she placed 9th in the 100 fly with a time of 58.74, 21st in the 100 back (1:00.76), and helped the 400 free relay finish 23rd (3:52.09).
Jason Starodub '26- second team: Jason delivered a standout postseason. At Sectionals, he finished tied for first in the 200 IM (2:00.95) and first in the 100 backstroke (53.83). He followed that with a defining moment at Districts, where he captured the 100 backstroke title in 52.62, setting a new school record and earning the title of District Champion. At the State Meet, Jason placed 8th in the 100 back (52.87) and 14th in the 200 IM (2:00.90), closing out a historic season for the senior.
